Sunday - Chilly most of the day but lovely in mid to late afternoon when became flat calm. Loads of bream between the 2 of us (kept 8 each & put rest back)with wrasse, plaice (drift between tide changes), small hounds. a gar & dogs. Fished best on the ebb.
A lot of boats seemed to be struggling out there from the amount of moves we saw plus feed back from some of the charters.

Same on Monday, We fished the ebb in Sandown 3 small Bream and a smattering of dogs.

I have seen reports from Sea Juicer that shows him with some bigger Bream (3lbs)from Monday, he was fishing tight in to Culver with a load of other boats. Looks like bait of choice was Ragworm judging by the bits of worm hanging out of their mouths :)

Our bait was ragworm tipped with a small bit of squid. Found a lot of takes were just after a small twitch of the lead. Bite take was immediately after the twitch as lead hit bottom.

They were finicky and went through a lot of bait through missed fish with snatchy bites.

We also put a rod down with big lumps of old squid/ cuttle on 4/0 hook. It draws the bream into the boat. We had a conger, large crab, lobsters, smoothound & rays on it!
