hi guys ,iam organising a charity comp to raise funds for marie curie cancer care.
i know a few of you know about this alfready ,but iam just trying to get as many people interested as i can .never done this before ,but really going for it now.
the comp is being fished on the 22ndapril at lee-on-solent.10am-3pm
bookin 9.30am opp solent mansions northern parade.
fiver entry fee to charity.
prize table and raffle
catch and release

That sounds like a great idea... I'd be up for that as I've never entered a comp and a charity one sounds ideal for l'il ole me....  if we weren't going to be out of the country then fishing in Florida!

yes mate it was fished by my self and 25 others its was a very good comp great crack had by all, only one fish caught a 24cm rockling.....rest went in the the hat to be drawn.
could not get the distance needed due to high winds,tryed everything from slipper limpet in close to mackerel, crab and sandeel as far as possable not one bite....very hard fishing but great fun will be there next year :).

all for a good cause paul, and you raised a few quid so all good.

but 25 peeps fish of the beach for one 24cm rockling, hence the reason i sold my beach gear and bought a boat lmao.

dont think there being a large comp the night before helped much .but like paul said it was a good day for a good cause.hopefully a few more fish will turn up nxt year,along with a few more anglers.
