well it was my first trip of the year down to polperro, so as always booked trip out with with murry on the swallow.
planned targets were cod ,pollock, haddock, ling, and whiting.

so we started on the pollock, but it was a no show.
but at least the seal was having a good time

so next was a try for  whiting and haddock with baited feathers. but all i got was loads of whiting which normally id be very happy with but i wanted a fresh haddock for dinner.....doh.
on the plus side we got loads of mackerel .....a first for me , mackerel in january .........its got to be a joke, but no.

next the tide eased and we moved and tried for a ling, hokkie's loaded with half a mackerel per hook. come-on you toothy b*stards...lol
and we waited and waited........... then ding dong, 4 of us in at once. mine was a baby @ 6lb compared to the other 3 all around the 15lb mark.
back down and another ling was quick to munch my mackerel and this was a more respectable 11lb, then just before we were going to move i had another of about 15lb.

as the tide picked up we tried again for a pollock but no pollock were to show.
so on the way back we tried to get some more whiting and try for a haddock......................it was pout city...lol

then my first ever haddock, only 2lb ish

but god it tasted great
