Am gonna have a crack at plaice over next couple of weeks as long as work stays steady...
Only really fished for them a couple of times over past few years.
I was thinking chesil after reading a few reports on the other forum. But where locally is worth trying? Does that beach in Portsmouth produce many fish anymore? (Looking to sea, far left of pier).
Any info a bonus.
Cheers all.

Eastney is throwing up a few Chris. I know of one lad that had 4 last week. Anywhere behind the tea hut, upto 100 yards either side will produce. There's every chance of a 3-4lber, every year it throws up a biggie. Other than Chesil I wouldn't fish anywhere else for them. Hayling has thrown a few up already aswell but eastney is the best local mark for plaice.

Cheers - Eastney! That's the spot. Remember meeting you there a few years back Hugh to have a go at the Plaice... We blanked.
I know that you used to put a lot of time in to get them fish from there.

In your second post you've hit the nail on the head - that's why I asked if it still produced...

I'm gonna give it a bash for them Plaice next weekend I think, so need to make some rigs up and decide on venue - Ray, I'll give you a shout mate.

Cheers all
