The wind is forecast to drop off tonight and I would like to have a go at the Tope tomorrow probably at Pullar.

However it has been windy for a couple of days and Chimet is currently showing a 1m wave height. How much will it flatten off by tomorrow?. I am in a 16 foot boat.

Well the surf websites predicted no surf which indicated no swell. They were right, it was a lovely day but the Tope didn't come out to play. Some big rays though and a solitary mackerel.

I bottled it too but it was because it was my wife's birthday.  I recognised there was more danger in missing that than any sea state LOL

Out yesterday with a charter - some very heavy down pour s but the fishing was excellent. Selsey way.

We had 36 hounds (4 kept), plaice, bream, rays incl 18lb Blonde & of course dogs. No tope despite efforts all day. Need fresh mackerel.
Tried mackerel all day - not a thing apart from seeing one swim bye the boat.

Tope of 45lb was caught at night a week ago off beach at Bracklesham Bay (seen the video)which was one of several doubles.
