He didn't actually ask how long was the boat. He asked how long was "it". Maybe he had another agenda.

Latest one :

"I like your boat but its too expensive. There are younger, better condition boats on eBay that are going much cheaper".  ....response "Well buy one of those then"

The boat has now sold. I knew I would be sad but, Christ, I hadn't realised I would be THIS upset. It's like grieving for a best friend.

Well done & I know the feeling - had a boat for years & my route is but you never know :-

I trailer my Orkney 520 & launch at Itchenor Hard (Chi Harbour) so only pay harbour & hard dues. Can do it on my own but usually 2 of us fish so dead easy to launch & recover. I get out past the Nab as long as weather okay. Used to have a 440 but 520 has given me further scope on the big sea whereas 440 tended to mean close in or harbour. I also have access to a charter boat which I skipper.

I keep mine at home Oct- April & locally for rest of year( holiday home)less than 1 mile from Itchenor. I could trailer each way & used to many years ago. My point is ----if you had room at home - friend with space - you could go that option & have a boat ???

Great advice from Whitewash, you could also consider sharing a boat with your fishing buddy.

Hi fellas, I sold my Wilson24 on FFB eventually, I did list it on ebay and boatsandoutboards to as I needed to get her sold, I really feel for you as the questions you get asked and some of the cutting comments you recieve are really not funny. One such groups of people came for a sea trial, the boat performed as it should and at the end they said they was more or less ready to have her, could I service the leg and engine and they would get her in a week or two`s time, once I told them she was ready, I did this and when I called them they said she was`nt what they wanted and was looking at other boats now.
I know people have every right in the world to change their minds but to string you along is out of order.
Shes gone now, back to Langstone where she originally came from and the guy that bought her totally deserves her.
Cheers For Now, Woody ;-)
