It looks like a norman to me as well Graham an early one outboard boats, John have a look at Jones boatyard they are in Cambs, i think they are more of a river boat rather than a sea boat, i could be wrong.

You are correct Colin, the Normans were/are river cruisers. That certainly looks like a river boat.

John, might be ok harbours but i think even by the forts it will be sloping about so much might make you sick, even if you ballist it down to sit better then the fuel comes into it [use more] but at the end of the day its up to you.

well i liked the look of it,she isnt gonna be fast ,but a mix of comfort and fishing will do me just fine,
ill do her up a treat(5 days in allready) and try her out,if she slops to much its just a case of increasing the depth of the keel to about 10 inches at back grading to match in with front, using hardwood timbers bolted through small keel and glassed in nicely ,this will work as i did it on me first boat ,i have repaired gel coat in few old bolt holes places, taken old vhf radio whitch was same size (and probly built  same time) as a betamax video, now just needs fitting out in cab an pop the engine back on her

she looks a decent boat john, and more than capable of inshore fishing. looks alot better than some of the crap ive seen at sea.

looks a nice big cabin, nothing like all the home comforts when fishing.

good luck, and see you out there!
