In March Boat Fishing Mag out now there are two very good articles, one on Wight Huntress trip out and the other is a five page interview with Brian Wilson before he sadly passed away, he tells how the wilson flyer came to be, worth a read.

Hi,

I arranged to view a 17ft Wilson Flyer early January at Brian Wilson's place, Sandy was very helpful, the one she had ready for a customer to pick up was exactly what I was looking for.

I now have a 17ft Wilson Flyer being built will be ready around the end of April, it's got a half cabin with a flying bridge, safety rails on he gunnel's and the pulpit bars fitted, cost was £3,300

I have a 65hp Mercury outboard waiting to fit.

This worked out around the same price to re cabin and refurbish my old 16ft Dorey.

So sold my old boat as a project to someone, this paid for all new steering gear and the Mercury 65hp.

Great one Steve for putting me in touch with Sandy Wilson.
