They are crackers Hugh. I am going to get in touch with Dave (flyfishfiend) when I get back tommorow.

He knows of a good wreck off St Cats which produces monster pollock in March. I am going to see if I can get there on Thursday. I think your grin in the last picture says it all.

thanks andy. i was in shock i think as they were getting bigger and bigger. ive heard the weymouth lads are having a bad time on the pollock. yet out of newhaven and brighton they are having it of. strange as id thought wrecks were wrecks but obviously they must come from the east first?

happy guy they were all on shads and jelly worms with traces no longer than 10ft. i had 6 of mine on blue storm shads and 2 of them on black jelly worms.

my mate had similar numbers and sizes but he was useing a perch style shad. i dont think it makes a great differance if there are shoals of fish then they will take any shad or jelly worm. we had them as much as 60 reel turns up.
